Belize's best preserved Mayan site. Well worth the entrance fee.

It's relatively small and easy to walk around in 30 min or so. Go 1-2 hours before closing and there's absolutely NO ONE there! Since the cruise ships leave in the afternoon.

Altun-Ha is believed to have been inhabited as early as 1000 BC! Make sure to check out the "Temple of the Masonry Altars" and other ancient highlights.
