最深部423mもの深さを誇る日本で一番深い湖。砂浜がいくつかあり、水遊びが可能。キャンプ場もあり、色々愉しめる。お盆の時期には人出が多くかなり賑わう。ちょっと若いが350年以上の歴史がある御座石神社も湖畔に佇む。たつこ像も有名。韓流ドラマIRISのロケ地でもある事から、オバハンに人気。

田沢湖界隈に日帰り温泉に行くと、必ず寄ります♪時期になると、湖水浴客で賑わいます!向かいのお土産屋さんでは、秋田犬を観れるし、岩魚の塩焼きもオススメ!

場所によって色づきの違いはあるものの、紅葉はピークを迎えています。写真は秋らしく、日没間際のススキと夕日の組み合わせ。
