Not to be missed, great location and the temple is outstanding. You will have to ride a boat after you pay the tickets to reach the temple. Try to join a group as it will cost a lot if you are alone

Jewel of Upper Egypt this tiny island and its beautiful temple is a must see place in Egypt. Trojan Kiosk is a landmark of the island. Better to visit in the early morning, open from 7 am.

下の方が黒ずんでいるのは、水に沈んでいた場所です。そして目の前に見える十字架はキリスト教にここを取られた際に、そぐあないという理由で破壊されたものです。何か言いたいところですが...。ダム建設のために海底に沈むはずだったこの遺跡。ユネスコ協力の元、ここまで運び出されました。川の水がどんな大雨でも一定になってしまったために、下流では水を汚す貝が大量発生して問題化している様です。
