京都市中京区と東山区の鴨川に架かる四条通りの橋。阪急河原町駅と京阪祇園四条駅の乗り換えルートとしても利用され、休日や観光シーズンはかなり混み合います。鴨川の河原では年がら年中カップルが集まり談笑しています。また、夏場の納涼床は風物詩です。

7月10日に祇園祭の神輿洗神事が行われます。神用水のしぶきを浴びて無病息災にあやかりたければ、20時頃までに橋の北側の中央より東側で待機しましょう。2回ほどかけて頂けます。
